Clueless Patsy Set-up by FBI in Christmas Tree Bombing Plot

Another long line of dimwitted kids, used for the war on Freedom....

FBI's - "Project Mohamud"

Clueless Patsy Set-up by FBI in Christmas Tree Bombing Plot

In a repeat of a now familiar pattern, the FBI told Mohamud they were building the bomb. They went so far as to travel to a remote spot in Lincoln County, Oregon, where a bomb concealed in a backpack was detonated as a trial run for the upcoming Christmas tree attack. The FBI eagerly assisted their clueless mark when he decided to shoot a video explaining his half-witted act.

They not only hate us for our freedom, but also for our Christmas trees – or at least that’s what the FBI and cops in Oregon would have you believe.

They not only hate us for our freedom, but also for our Christmas trees.

“The FBI thwarted an attempted terrorist bombing in Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square before the city’s annual tree-lighting Friday night, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oregon,” The Oregonian reports. “A Corvallis man, thinking he was going to ignite a bomb, drove a van to the corner of the square at Southwest Yamhill Street and Sixth Avenue and attempted to detonate it.”

Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, a Somali-born U.S. citizen, had a little help from the FBI. “The arrest was the culmination of a long-term undercover operation, during which Mohamud had been monitored for months as his alleged bomb plot developed.”

Mohamud and the FBI operative agreed to meet in Portland where Mohamud allegedly told the FBI operative that he had written articles that were published in Jihad Recollections, an online magazine that advocated holy war against American infidels and assorted Christmas revelers.

Mr. Mohmud’s mentally disturbed fantasy fueled by the FBI is reminiscent of the Christmas Day non-bombing attributed to Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who it is said planned to take down an airliner over Detroit in spectacular fashion by igniting his underwear.

According to the FBI affidavit, Mohamud’s absurd bomb plot began in August 2009 when he contacted by email an unknown associate overseas said to be involved in terrorist activities. In December 2009, while the mysterious associate was in a frontier province of Pakistan, Mohamud and the associate discussed the possibility of Mohamud traveling to Pakistan to participate in violent jihad.

Pakistan’s intelligence service, the ISI, is notorious for creating and running jihad terrorists groups under the supervision of the CIA. In late 2009, General Ahmad Shuja Pasha, the general director of the ISI, presented CIA boss Leon E. Panetta with “some highly classified and irrefutable evidence” that the mega-snoop agency is involved in creating and running supposed terror groups in Pakistan. “The proof about instances of covert US support to some hardened militant outfits and terrorist activities they carried out over the past few weeks and months were presented to Panetta,” writes Zahid Malik for the Pakistan Observer.

The CIA effort to construct a Muslim terrorist archetype emerged following the Soviet-Afghan war, a multi-billion dollar effort that was part of a CIA covert agenda initiated during the Carter administration by then national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski. The CIA operative Osama bin Laden, aka Tim Osman, would serve as a model for all Islamic terrorists and demented suicide bombers to come. It is interesting to note that Mr. Mohamud’s middle name is Osman.

Mohamud was clueless right up until the moment he pressed a button on his cell phone. He thought this would blow up the Portland Christmas tree and kill infidels, but instead it brought in the cops. “Yelling ‘Allahu Akbar!’ – Arabic for ‘God is great!’ — Mohamud tried to kick agents and police after he was taken into custody, according to prosecutors,” reports the Independent Online.

“Mohamud, a naturalized US citizen living in Corvallis, was charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. A court appearance was set for Monday. Few details were available about him late Friday.”

“The threat was very real,” said Arthur Balizan, special agent in charge of the FBI in Oregon. “Our investigation shows that Mohamud was absolutely committed to carrying out an attack on a very grand scale.”

There is no shortage of psycho nut cases absolutely committed to maiming and killing large numbers of people. Very few of them, however, are particularly useful for a government determined to keep the terrorist swindle going for as long as possible. The Global War On Terror mill needs a constant stream of patsies and dim wits to keep the charade in motion.

It takes a special kind of patsy. One capable of actually deluding himself into believing there are jihadists in Pakistan who believe blowing up a Christmas tree makes logistical sense in the war against the Great Satan. One stupid enough to believe FBI agents are Islamic terrorists and the chimera known as al-Qaeda is actually a global terror organization and not a ruse named after a Mujahideen database.

Corporate Media Hypes “Homegrown” Threat of Patsies, Dupes, and Mental Deficients

Michael Chertoff, Assistant Attorney General David Kris, and the FBI are warning about the threat of homegrown terrorism. “Now we’re beginning to see the predictions coming true,” said Chertoff, the former Homeland Security boss. He says we have mere months before the terrorists strike.

Kris declares we face a “constantly evolving” threat from radicalized jihadists in our midst. “Individuals can be radicalized in a number of ways — by direct contact with terrorists abroad or in the United States, over the Internet or on their own through a process of self-radicalization,” he warned.

PBS propaganda on the “changing face of terrorism.”

Meanwhile, FBI special agent Brett Hovington tells the Associated Press the government needs to do more scientific research around the country on why Americans are becoming radicalized and turning toward violent extremism.

In order to support the dubious contention that America faces an ominous terrorist threat from within, the Associated Press rolls out the usual suspects: Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, Najibullah Zazi, Daniel Boyd, Anwar Awlaki, Sharif Mobley, and Jihad Jane, Colleen LaRose.

Let’s begin with Hasan. The demented Army psychiatrist was listed as a participant in a Homeland Security Policy Institute’s presidential transition task force last year. The FBI knew about Hasan’s emails to al-Qaeda but did nothing about it (maybe the agency needs to do more scientific research into way it continually ignores supposed terror threats). Hasan sent between 10 to 20 emails to several terror-related Islamic figures, including Anwar Awlaki. In addition to the FBI, the U.S. Army and intelligence were well aware of Hasan.

Awlaki, as imam-provocateur (and a connoisseur of prostitutes), shepherded Khalid al-Midhar, Nawaf al-Hazmi, and the amazing stunt pilot, Hani Hanjour, at his Dar al-Hijra mosque in Falls, Church, Virginia, prior to September 11, 2001. The 9/11 commission report expressed “suspicion” about the coincidence of three key figures in the attacks rubbing elbows with Awlaki, but said its investigators were unable to find him in Yemen to ask questions.

The U.S. is not interested in extraditing Awlaki and did not ask Yemen to do so in 2006 when the country had him in custody. Instead, we are told the U.S. wants him dead. In December, it was reported that an air raid in Yemen had killed the internet imam, but it later turned out he was alive.

Mr. Awlaki is a valuable asset in the global all-terrorism, all-the-time propaganda war and will not be killed anytime soon.

Earlier today, it was reported that he continues to add color to the domestic terrorist mythology. “The American-born Muslim cleric who may have inspired the gunman in the Fort Hood massacre has a message for other American Muslims: turn against your country,” reports the New York Daily News. “A New Jersey man, Sharif Mobley, arrested last week in Yemen after killing a guard in a hospital made a pilgrimage to that country to meet and train with Al-Awlaki, CNN reported.”

Sharif Mobley is the American nuclear power plant worker who was apprehended during a sweep of al-Qaeda cells in the impoverished country, or so the government in Yemen claims as it bends over backwards to please the U.S. and get some desperately needed money. Mobley apparently killed a hospital guard while in custody.

Fox News propaganda on Sharif Mobley. Note: video was made private so the video couldn't be seen by the public at youtube....

“Sharif Mobley, who grew up in New Jersey, is linked to the same al Qaida branch behind the failed Christmas Day plane bombing, reports CBS station WCBS-TV in New York City,” CBS News reported on March 12.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, variously known as the underwear bomber and fizzle pants, was allowed to board Flight 253 out of Amsterdam, even though he was under surveillance by MI5 and was put on a terror watch list after his father alerted U.S. officials. The late senator Kennedy was on a no-fly list but not Abdulmutallab. So important was the ill-fated Nigerian, the State Department refused to revoke his visa on two occasions.

Najibullah Zazi is the Colorado airport shuttle driver who was arrested and charged with plotting to manufacture bombs with beauty salon hydrogen peroxide. He was supposedly recruited by the documented CIA asset al-Qaeda while visiting his wife (a cousin in an arranged marriage) in Pakistan and taken to a training camp in Waziristan. If we are to believe the official story, he was instructed by al-Qaeda to bomb a Long Island Railroad commuter train in New York’s Penn Station with beauty supplies.

“This dumb ass actually bought large volumes of beauty supplies that contained hydrogen peroxide to make TATP, the explosive involved in the 2005 bombings of the London transit system, another MI5/6 op, which had a parallel terror-drill running with it as on 9/11,” writes Jerry Mazza.

Daniel Patrick Boyd, a North Carolina drywaller, was arrested in July of 2009 along with his adult sons and four other North Carolina men. They are accused of plotting violent jihad, although the federal indictment against them does not detail any specific terrorist plans or targets overseas, according to the Associated Press. In September, it was revealed they planned to attack the Marine Corps Base at Quantico, Virginia.

It appears the only case the government has against Boyd and his fellow Muslim converts is that they liked to conduct military training drills on the Virginia border and Boyd’s alleged “growing stockpile of armor-piercing assault weapons,” according to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and The Washington Post.

Boyd — a near perfect candidate to serve as the poster child (along with Jihad Jane) for the manufactured blonde homegrown terror threat — was mysteriously in possession of a book that FBI special agent Michael Sutton called “essentially our playbook to how we respond to acts of terrorism,” CNN reported on August 4, 2009.

Next up, Jihad Jane and her exonerated blonde twin, Jihad Jamie. Both served as fodder for the Pentagon’s propaganda campaign (via the the Pentagon’s Office of Strategic Influence ensconed in CNN newsrooms).

Jihad Jane, formerly known as Colleen LaRose, is a mentally disturbed Pennsylvania woman accused of trolling the internet in the name of a Muslim holy war. She was arrested with seven people over a supposed plot to kill Lars Vilks, a Swedish cartoonist who had an al-Qaeda bounty put on his head after depicting the prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog.

Sensationalistic Fox News report on Jihad Jane.  note...video was made private, so video couldn't be seen by the public at youtube

“Authorities were on her trail as early as July 2009, when the FBI interviewed her about more than a year’s worth of online posts and messages, including a 2008 YouTube video in which she said she was ‘desperate to do something’ to ease the suffering of Muslims,” reports the Associated Press.

Eve Conant, writing for Newsweek, declares that the Jihad Jane case proves that illegal domestic surveillance conducted by the FBI and the NSA works. As it turns out, it was not the FBI that surveiled LaRose, but a group of internet sleuths. If crazy Jihad Jane is the best they can come up with, they need to redouble their efforts.

LaRose pleaded not guilty this morning to charges she conspired to support terrorists and kill a person in a foreign country. If convicted, she faces a possible life sentence in prison and a $1 million fine.

Jaime Paulin-Ramirez, aka Jihad Jamie, “had been searching for something or someone, as way to identify herself,” according to her brother. “Ramirez’s mother found items on the home computer that suggested a link to terrorists. Frightened, she contacted authorities, but with no luck,” reports KHOU. “They were like still brushing her off, like she was a crazy old lady, ‘oh wow, so your mom notified authorities in Colorado — called the FBI,’” said Michael Holcomb, her brother. “Jihad Jaime…disgusting,” he added.

Disgusting or not, the corporate media had a field day with the baseless accusations swirling around Jaime Paulin-Ramirez following the sensationalized accusations against LaRose. Irish police released Paulin-Ramirez without charge in the supposed plot to murder Lars Vilks.

Chertoff, the FBI, and the entire homegrown terror threat cottage industry will have a difficult time making headway with such pathetic would-be terrorists. Even with a scarcity of convincing evidence that homegrown terrorists pose a threat, they are determined to build a case that al-Qaeda’s blonde and blue-eyed comrades are posed to strike and it is only a matter of months and years, as Chertoff put it, before they are successful.

It appears more likely they are building a case to be used immediately after the next false flag attack. “All that is necessary for success of ‘false flag’ or ‘black ops’ events is for the government to have its story ready and to have a reliable and compliant media. Once an official story is in place, thought and investigation are precluded. Any formal inquiry that is convened serves to buttress the already provided explanation,” writes Paul Craig Roberts for Infowars.com today.

“The next step will be a staged ‘terrorist attack,’ a ‘false flag’ operation as per Operation Northwoods, for which Iran will be blamed,” Roberts continues. “As Iran and its leadership have already been demonized, the ‘false flag’ attack will suffice to obtain US and European public support for bombing Iran. The bombing will include more than the nuclear facilities and will continue until the Iranians agree to regime change and the installation of a puppet government.”

According to secret and long-hidden documents obtained for Body of Secrets, the Joint Chiefs of Staff drew up and approved plans for what may be the most corrupt plan ever created by the U.S. government. In the name of antiCommunism, they proposed launching a secret and bloody war of terrorism against their own country in order to trick the American public into supporting an ill-conceived war they intended to launch against Cuba.

Operation Northwoods

Code named Operation Northwoods, the plan, which had the written approval of the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called for innocent people to be shot on American streets; for boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere. People would be framed for bombings they did not commit; planes would be hijacked. Using phony evidence, all of it would be blamed on Castro, thus giving Lemnitzer and his cabal the excuse, as well as the public and international backing, they needed to launch their war.

The incessant drumbeat of blonde terrorists lurking in the heartland of America and dedicated to holy war against the infidels is obviously part of a preparatory phase of this coming false flag event.

Footnote: The FBI is renowned for making terrorist mountains out of patsy mole hills. The agency’s corporate media celebrated arrests on terrorism charges usually fizzle in the courtroom, long after the media displays the requisite hoopla for propaganda purposes.

“Terror threats facing the United States prompt federal investigators to act quickly but have brought mostly minor charges in court cases, records show,” the UPI reported in 2008. “There have been no new attacks on U.S. soil, but also few stunning victories in court against homegrown terrorist ‘sleeper cells,’ the [The Washington Post] said. And there have been some high-profile acquittals or hung juries in terror investigations.”

For instance, in 2008, a jury twice deadlocked in the Miami trial of the “Liberty City Seven,” a group of impoverished Miami laborers accused of planning to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago. When they were indicted in 2006, Attorney General Gonzales declared the government had just thwarted “a full ground war against the United States.”

During the Miami trial, the supposed leader of the group testified that he’d never planned on blowing anything up. He was just trying to get some money out of the informant who was egging them on. The FBI relies almost exclusively on paid informants.

“Many of these cases appear to be the informant who is either working off a case to avoid going to jail or being deported or is seeking remuneration, approaching some people and getting them excited, getting them angry and persuading them to join in what has been described as terrorism conspiracies.” Sam Schmidt, a lawyer who represented one of the men accused in the 1998 bombings of US embassies in Africa, told The Washington Independent. Regardless of the recent arrest of Muslims allegedly plotting ill-will in Ireland, the announcement of LaRose’s indictment yesterday makes sense when recent events are taken into consideration — a recent video by American al-Qaeda member Adam Gadahn calling for death and destruction of all things infidel and still fresh memories of the mental case John Patrick Bedell shooting police officers outside the Pentagon and the highly suspect case of Joe Stack supposedly flying a plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas.

Jihad Jane is a near perfect patsy for a government eager to extend indefinitely the phony GWOT against the mirage of cave-dwelling terrorists who are said to have relocated to Anywhereville, USA.

She is also fodder for an insatiable corporate media looking for Muslim miscreants under every rock, especially white all-American Muslims (and anti-government “extremists”) who supposedly represent the new face of terrorism that the government and the Mockingbird corporate media insist requires a fresh round of indignities — from naked body scanners to cell phone tracking and beyond — all of it indicative of a pervasive loss of liberty in America.

Authorities in Oregon say they have thwarted an attempted car bombing at a packed Christmas-tree lighting ceremony in Portland.

Police arrested Mohamed Osman Mohamud, a Somali-born naturalized U.S. citizen, shortly after 5:30 p.m. local time Friday, moments after he dialed a number for a cellphone that he believed would set off the explosion.

But the bomb was a dud, having been given to him by federal authorities who had him in their sights for months.

Officials said Mohamud, 19, resisted arrest, yelling "God is great!" in Arabic.

"The threat was very real," said Arthur Balizan, special agent in charge of the FBI in Oregon. "Our investigation shows that Mohamud was absolutely committed to carrying out an attack on a very grand scale."

Authorities assured members of the public that they were never in danger.

A law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to The Associated Press on Saturday, said that federal agents began investigating Mohamud after receiving a tip from someone who was concerned about the teenager.

The official said Mohamud hatched the plan on his own and without any instruction from a foreign terrorist organization and he planned the details, including where to park the van for the maximum number of casualties.

According to an affidavit filed by the FBI, Mohamud had been planning the attack for several months. At one point, he mailed bomb-making materials to people he believed were assisting him, but were actually FBI operatives.

As he planned the attack, the affidavit said, Mohamud was warned about its dangerous nature. However, he brushed off concerns, telling agents that, "Since I was 15 I thought about all this." He also said the attack was going to be "a fireworks show…a spectacular show."

Authorities allowed the plot to proceed in order to build up enough evidence to charge the suspect.

Few details about Mohamud were immediately released. However, U.S. Attorney Dwight Holton released federal court documents about the sting operation to both The Associated Press and the Oregonian newspaper.

According to the documents, the FBI sting operation began in June when an undercover agent learned that Mohamud had been communicating via email with an "unindicted associate" in Pakistan's northwest tribal region.

The communication was rife with code language that officials believe included a plan for Mohamud to travel to Pakistan to prepare for "violent jihad."

An FBI agent contacted Mohamud in June "under the guise of being affiliated with" the associate in Pakistan. A month later, an undercover FBI agent met with Mohamud and the two "discussed violent jihad," the documents show.

Earlier this month, Mohamud and undercover agents detonated a bomb in rural Oregon as a test.

On Friday, Mohamud drove with an agent to downtown Portland in a white van containing six 55-gallon drums with detonation cords and plastic caps. Unbeknownst to Mohamud, there was no chance the bomb would go off.

After leaving the van parked near where the tree-lighting ceremony was to take place, Mohamud and the agent went to a train station, where Mohamud was given a cellphone that he believed would detonate the bomb. After he tried twice to set off the bomb, agents swooped in and arrested him.

"This defendant's chilling determination is a stark reminder that there are people -- even here in Oregon -- who are determined to kill Americans," Holton said.

Omar Jamal, first secretary to the Somali mission to the United Nations, condemned the plot and urged Somalis to co-operate with police and the FBI.

"Talk to them and tell them what you know so we can all be safe," Jamal said.

Somali Foreign Minister Mohamed Abullahi Omaar said his government is "ready and willing" to offer the U.S. any assistance it may need to prevent similar attempted attacks. He also noted the attempt in Portland was a tragedy for Mohamud's family and "the people he tried to harm."

"Mohamud's attempt is neither representative nor an example of Somalis. Somalis are peace-loving people," said Omaar.

Tens of thousands of Somalis have resettled in the United States since their country plunged into lawlessness in 1991, and the U.S. has boosted aid to the country. Much of the country's southern and central regions are now ruled by Islamist insurgents.

Mohamud's arrest follows a spate of homegrown foiled terror plots in recent months. In late October, police arrested Farooque Ahmed of Virginia and charged him with plotting with al Qaeda operatives to bomb Washington-area subway stations and trains.

Earlier this year, Faisal Shazhad was charged with attempting to set off a car bomb in New York's Times Square. And one year ago, authorities arrested 19-year-old Hosam Smadi on charges that he attempted to bomb a Dallas skyscraper.

Mohamud, who lives in Corvallis, was charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
